HD at Clear CutClear Cut has now launched a full High Definition Post Service. Our new 'Nitris' suite is geared for HD Compositing, Online and Grading for complete new generation finishing. Our Surround-Sound Theatre 3 remains a top mixing room in West London and is fully HD capable for Picture and Sound. Bookings & Staff Changes.Clear Cut bookings department sees Bec Carew joined by Lucie Parker from Nats. The department is now headed by newly appointed General Manager Louise Knight, who has recently joined Clear Cut also from Nats. The department has been expanded to streamline Clear Cut Bookings and further improve speed and quality of communication flow for clients. Every client will now have a dedicated Account Manager whose mission it is to make sure that the entire Post Production process runs smoothly for each production so that Production Managers & Supervisors need spend as little time as possible overseeing productions, yet are kept fully informed at every stage. Account Managers will be involved in productions from the initial bid and contract stage right through to the point of invoicing. Natalie Bayford has also recently joined Clear Cut from Crow to head marketing. Major Software improvements in our computerized bookings process also mean invoices will now be presented more clearly. Clear Cut now has a superb catering department and full-time chef who provides a full freshly-cooked menu daily for everyone in the facility. Jamie Oliver, we saw you coming! These improvements are all part of Clear Cut's commitment to continually improving services in response to our Clients needs. Final Cut Pro Online & HD at Clear CutClear Cut now offer full Avid Xpress Pro and Final Cut Pro Off-line; Final Cut Pro Online is also now available for Standard or HD finishing, HD at Clear Cut HiresNow in its 2nd Successful year in the capable hands of Fazal Shah & Steve Good, Clear Cut Hires has increased the available range of equipment with the purchase of 3 x Lightworks 'Touch' edit kits and Avid Nitris-HD to join our complete range of Avid products. Also now available are HD decks and cameras. All available at highly competitive rates backed up by qualified Technicians 24/7. Suite Networking.All major suites and Off-lines at Clear Cut are now Networked to our Central Machine Area. This means media in any format or resolution can be up or down-loaded at the touch of a button making digitizing, outputting or web-casting edits on FTP faster and easier than ever before. Productions can choose to offline on any Avid Media Composer or Adrenaline as well as Avid DV Express Pro, Final cut Pro or Lightworks Touch. This also means media-sharing between productions will be simpler and easier too, and makes Clear Cut a strong and reliable contender for quick turnaround productions which share media. All offline suites have internet broadband access. All suites also have dedicated client computers enabled to search all Online Music Libraries for more speed in your edit. A fully searchable Sound Effects library is also available to make sure Editors are as fully and speedily resourced as possible. Technical Backup.Our commitment to Technical Back-up remains as strong as ever. Our Central Machine Area has been re-furbished and further modernized. This month Tim Burton joins the team from the BBC. Sam Billinge is also now on-board as a trainee, bringing the total number of support staff to 9. Ben Plumb has now been appointed 'Product Specialist' And is gearing up to run our new Final Cut Pro Support-Line, Sales and back-up Service. Sound Department.We have extended our audio department by promoting Sam Castleton to audio assistant. All three of our dubbing suites are being upgraded to pro tools 6 on G5 Macs for increased speed and reliability. All the suites are networked together allowing quick transfer of work from prep suites to the mixing theatres. All three suites will also be on our new serial digital (SDI) matrix allowing quicker laybacks. Recently completed from Clear Cut's Audio department is audio mixing on 'The Toybox', a 100 minute film for Brand new films which has been voted best foreign film at the San Fernando Valley International Film Festival. Also recently completed is 'Hiroshima' A 90' Drama-doc for the BBC commemorating the anniversary of the dropping of the Atom bomb in 1945. 'Hiroshima' was mixed in 5.1 surround sound and delivered on HD. Among the many other projects mixing at Clear Cut are 'Cosmetic Surgery Live' for channel 5 and BBC Horizon's 'El Nino' and 'Tsunami'. 
Graphics.Using a range of software including Maya, Shake, After Effects, 3DS Max and Alias, Clear Cut Graphics' recent work includes 'Global Dimming' for Horizon and WGBH's NOVA Documentary 'Hitler's Sunken Secret'. Other well received recent work includes "Mark Thatcher - The Dogs of War" for The Money Program and "The Real Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency" - for BBC Current Affairs. After a decent period as a runner, Sarah Juniper has earned her spurs and joins the Graphics department to make full use of her considerable graphical talents Digital Rostrumming and Rotoscoping on Apples' Shake release 3.5. The New Clear Cut Graphics Showreel is now available - call Paul on 0207 605 1711 to have a copy sent to you. With Nitris DS capability added, the Clear Cut Graphics Department is a good choice for light and heavyweight Graphic projects.

Completely Posted at Clear Cut is Atlantic's for Discovery 13 part 50 minute series 'Mummy Autopsy' Dunkirk 'The Soldiers Story', Directed by BBC's Peter Gordon (which won the History award at the Grierson awards last Autumn) is also recently nominated for a Televisual Bulldog award.
