Clear Cut Pictures
Belinda Bailey is our 'Artist in Residence'
We feature her work throughout the building, and always get many favourable comments about her work, and how it fits into the Clear Cut space.
The aim of Belinda Bailey's work is to translate a sense of place into visual form. The observed shapes, patterns and textures of nature form the basis for the themes which she develops into both drawings and paintings. Her interest is in focusing on the details of nature and to give importance to something which would otherwise go unnoticed. By observing the very small she hopes to give a sense of the greater landscape.
Belinda Bailey studied BA (Hons) Painting and MA Drawing in Fine Art Practice at Wimbledon School of Art. Her work has been shown in many selected group exhibitions including the Kettles Yard Open, the Royal Watercolour Society Open and the Discerning Eye.
